In this exhibition, The Awakening approaches existence as a structure of parallel realities, where each decision, memory, and unrealised possibility continues beyond the limits of immediate experience. Redy Rahadian’s Black and White Series gives material form to this condition: black and white are not presented as fixed opposites, but as simultaneous forces through which identity, perception, and consequence are continually negotiated. The dragon extends this inquiry into the realm of collective imagination. Though mythological and physically absent, it has shaped cultures, symbols of authority, and systems of belief across generations, demonstrating that the unseen can exert tangible influence upon the visible world. Together, these works suggest that reality is constituted not only by what exists before us, but also by the latent, imagined, and alternative worlds that accompany every aspect of human life.
